Telford dog wins Best Of Breed award at Crufts
A Telford woman's handsome dog scored a big prize at Crufts.
Kerry Giles and her Italian Spinone, Morris, claimed the prestigious Best of Breed award at the annual competition held in Birmingham.
The 52-year-old said: "It feels a bit of a dream to be honest.
“I’m so proud of him. I love him, he’s my best friend, we do lots together; we’re just inseparable.
“As a show dog he’s wonderful, loves going round the ring, he’s really steady – nothing like he is at home.
“At home he’s a bit crazy, a bit full-on but as a show dog he loves every bit.
"To be here, to qualify is just a dream come true and I definitely feel like I’m in a dream, I really do.”
It was five-year-old Morris's first time on the green carpet, though his grandmother had competed twice.
About 27,000 dogs visited the NEC over the four-day event run by the Kennel Club.
