Pupils Freya Bailey and Jenson Marshall, both aged seven and from Lawley Primary School in Telford, were selected as the winners of a story writing project featuring the new Toy Box shop, in Ironbridge.

The theme was part of their English lessons set for Year Three children while they were being schooled at home.

The children had to set the scene, add two characters, include an exciting element and add a descriptive ending.

Freya’s story was titled The Lost Key and Jenson’s was called Martha’s & Ron’s Midnight Fun.

Both included plenty of drama describing the toys coming to life in the shop.

They have since been presented with £25 vouchers to be spent in the Toy Box, in High Street, after the store owners sponsored the competition.

Vonny Simons, of The Toy Box, said: “The quality of writing was fabulous.”
