Shifnal's Christmas lights to shine bright again after criticism over last year's display
It might be only July, but Shifnal Town Council is already working hard to make the town's Christmas lights shine bright after disappointment over last year's illuminations.
For many years, Shifnal's festive displays wowed onlookers, even crowning the town the most festive in the Midlands.
But last year, infrastructure issues saw the popular display restricted, with the final result receiving a lukewarm response from many residents.
The usual draping 'catenary' lights festooning Cheapside were missing from lamposts, while the landmark 'Merry Christmas' sign was several lit bulbs short.
