Rosie doodles for Google
A Powys 10-year-old has won a challenge to portray Britain in doodles around the familiar Google internet logo.
The design by Rosie Penny, pictured, of Howey, near Llandrindod Wells, will be displayed on the web throughout this month as she battles it out with nine other winners to be crowned the overall winner.
The winning doodle will go live on the website for 24 hours and be viewed by 18million people. The winner will also jet off to Google's world headquarters in Mountain View, California, with their family.
Young Rosie is one of the winners in the National Doodle 4 Google competition and has been invited with the rest of her class to a special day at the Science Museum in London where her entry will be on display.
Rosie is a year five pupil and scooped the winning design in the nine to 13-year-old section of the competition.
During October people will be invited to vote on the internet on what they think is the best.
Rosie said: "When I found out about the challenge I really wanted to have a go and I hope that everyone from Howey and all the local people will vote for me."
So far the youngster has been given a goodie bag for her efforts containing art equipment, a Google ball, a T-shirt and an art book.
The final winner will be announced at the prize giving day in the Science Museum.
Google is running its first nationwide Doodle 4 Google competition, following last year's London pilot, which was won by 11-year-old Lisa Wainaina.
