How many young RAF recruits approached these gates with their knees knocking?
Bob Hanley, of Telford, has loaned us this picture of the entrance to RAF Bridgnorth, where for more than 20 years raw recruits received their basic training.
The base closed in February 1963.
Does anyone know what happened to the Hurricane fighter, just visible on the left, which was acting as the "gate guardian"?
