Georgian jazz/blues singing sensation Melua also wowed the audience with a couple of numbers before the project, which aims to assist teachers and students in the classroom, was unveiled.
On meeting the singer and songwriter for the first time, Melanie said: "She is someone who you see so much on TV and she has done so well musically - to be actually doing something with her is absolutely amazing.
"She is someone who I have a lot of respect for because she writes her own songs.
"There are so many artists these days who are handed songs, so I take my hat off to her."
