Hotel may become care home
A £1 million luxury hotel in Shropshire could be closed by its new owners and converted into a nursing home.

Shrewsbury-based Morris & Company Ltd acquired Stretton Hall Hotel in All Stretton on January 8.
It wants to establish a "hotel-style" residential care home for the elderly.
Morris Care, the company's care division, said it already owned and operated care homes in and around Shropshire but was seeking to expand.
Director Timothy Morris said: "The provision of additional care facilities in south Shropshire is vital, as like many other areas in the country, it is faced with rapidly growing numbers of elderly people.
"Providing a first class hotel style care home at Stretton Hall will give people more choice."
Mr Morris said the building could be extended and improved and alterations would be carried out sympathetically to preserve the historic building.
"We plan to extend the fine Georgian building to provide additional bedrooms whilst preserving the heritage and reputation of Stretton Hall."
Morris & Company is a family-run business based in Shrewsbury with interests in property, engineering, communications and care.
Stretton Hall Hotel was put on the market last year for £1.1 million by its former owner Charlie Baker.
Mr Baker said there had been a number of offers made for the business in All Stretton, which underwent extensive renovations and improvements during his tenure.
The property currently has a restaurant and rooms that are used by guests from around the UK seeking breaks in exclusive surroundings.
