Drivers in Bridgnorth are set to face further headaches when a £58,000 repair work scheme gets under way next week.
Motorists have already been enduring huge tailbacks because of works in St John's Street, Low Town.
Drivers will now be met by temporary traffic lights on Westgate.
The lights will be in place on Westgate from Monday until July 1 while Severn Trent Water carries out the scheme to repair a water main.
A spokeswoman for Severn Trent Water apologised for any inconvenience caused, but said the work was vital. She said: "We are replacing an old section of main that is showing signs of wear and tear, and has been leaking occasionally.
"We want to reduce leakages as much as possible so we are planning to replace it."
The work in Westgate is just the latest in a series of disruptions which motorists and residents have had to face in recent weeks.
Bosses at BT say essential maintenance in St John's Street, Low Town, should be complete by the end of today.
The road has been closed between 9.30am and 4.30pm each day since May 8 and business owners in the area say it has severely damaged trade.
The work was due to be completed on May 25, but engineers encountered complications forcing them to extend the road closure by one week.
