My ideas for a better country

It is clear that I do not have the brain or foresight to become a politician.

Problem: Britain required a free trade agreement with Europe.

Politicians' Solution: Sign up to the European Union which demands common economic policies, education, legal systems, foreign policy, open borders etc, a requirement that Britain subsidises.

My Solution: Reject membership due to cost, trade with Commonwealth and rest of world.

Problem: Small island, gridlocked roads, over-worked hospitals, over-crowded schools and little social housing.

Politicians' Solution: Sign up to the EU Schengen Border Agreement which gives right of entry and freedom to stay to 450 million members of the EU.

My Solution: Still have a working brain cell - would not even consider such a document.

Problem: Millions starving around the world.

Politicians' Solution: Sign up to the EU whose Common Agricultural Policy undercuts African farmers.

My Solution: Leave the European Union due to the obvious mental deficiencies of the unelected people who run it!
