Here we have Knockin Church, as seen in a postcard from more than 100 years ago.
The postcard was franked in Liverpool on April 28, 1906.
Mrs Diana Humphreys, of Maesbrook, who loaned us this picture, says: "The neatly trimmed bushes and trees are much taller and overgrown now, practically obscuring the church from view from this angle."
The message was: "I had hoped to see you all today, but dare not venture out in the rain. I cannot come tomorrow or Thursday, but hope to come on Friday. Trust you are all well. My cold is a little better."
The signature is unreadable, but may be "EM".
It was posted to Miss Gladys Roberts, 3 Kimmel (?) St, Eldon St, Birkenhead.
