Ignore the climate hysteria
In response to Mr Unwin, the main issue is the manipulation through ignorance, dishonesty - or a mixture of both - of weather records, by those who prattle on about global warming.

Even when their figures are correct they are drawn from such a short period of time that no meaningful conclusions can be made.
They are fond of the phrase "since records began", not admitting or realising that this means 1914.
It is very significant that this year's rainfall is the highest since records began. But if we examine the very full words which go back several hundred years it is merely the 16th.
If we look at the last 1,000 years we find roughly 400 years of warm weather, followed by 400 years of cold and then a gradual warming.
Don't forget that the generation of colder weather after the last war prompted fears of global cooling - greenhouse gases were blocking the sun's rays.
Climate change is natural and we can do nothing about it, so please stop giving in to hysteria, which only benefits gout and left-wing delusionists.
