And Katie Roberjot,a pupil at Old Hall School, Wellington, is in the running to win a trip-of-a-lifetime to California after being crowned the West Midlands regional winner in the five to eight age group of the Doodle 4 Google - My Future competition to design a themed Google logo.

She was one of more than 60,000 young people across the UK who took part.

From today until November 13 people can vote on 48 entries at www.google.co.uk/doodle4google/vote

It was the first time the school had taken part in the annual competition.

"I think it's great my school has got behind me to show support.
