People in Shropshire and Mid Wales have been urged to brace themselves for a wild weekend as gale force winds blast the region.
Gusts of up to 50mph are expected on Sunday and there may even be a sprinkling of snow on high ground.
Shropshire Star weatherman John Warner said: "It's going to be a thoroughly unpleasant weekend for anyone out of doors.
"Tomorrow we will have blustery showers which won't last too long, but could leave a bit of snow above 1,500ft," he said.
"On Sunday it will get even worse as another deep depression moves in."
