An eight-year-old Shropshire boy will be living his dream of running out onto the pitch at Wembley with the England team next week.
Jamie Hyne, of Shrewsbury, will act as a mascot for his national heroes as they take on Switzerland in Fabio Capello's first game as England boss.
Dad Nick will be flying back from a holiday in Switzerland for one day only to watch his son as he takes to the field.
The football-mad youngster will get to take part in the experience thanks to his dad's partner Lesley Ashley, who entered him and his 10-year-old brother Tom in a Nationwide prize draw.
As part of a new campaign, Nationwide announced Jamie as one of five winners who had entered the draw on the www.sponsoredbyyou.com website.
As well as leading the team out, Jamie will also get the chance to meet the players and savour the on-pitch atmosphere at England's magnificent stadium.
And his dad says there is one player in particular he would like to be shaking hands with. He said: "He wants to meet Steven Gerrard because he is a Liverpool fan.
"My partner Lesley entered the competition but we are actually off to Switzerland on Saturday so we will be flying back on Wednesday - it is not every day your son is at Wembley."
Chris Hull, from Nationwide, said: "The England team mascots will have the thrill of being greeted by 90,000 supporters at Wembley as well as being seen by millions of people watching on television."
