They inform motorists they are now entering the zone in which house prices will fall due to the dust and disturbance of the mining proposals.
Campaigners put up the banners last night in their second guerilla-style stunt to draw public attention to their cause.
They had previously stuck posters on telegraph poles. The protesters are upset over UK Coal's proposal - due to be considered shortly by Telford & Wrekin Council - to extract 900,000 tonnes of coal from open ground and woodland over a three-year period. The site is on the eastern edge of The Wrekin and The Ercall at Huntington Lane, New Works.
Campaign spokesman Pat Johnson said today opposition was "snowballing".
He said campaigners would have a strong presence at 7pm tonight at All Friends Round The Wrekin's public meeting at Wellington Civic Centre.
