A lucky Shropshire lottery player has scooped £59,228 after matching five numbers and the bonus ball.

The man, who has only identified himself as Mr H and has declined to reveal where he lives in the county, won the cash after playing through the National Lottery's interactive channels.

He discovered he had won after receiving an e-mail advising him to check his account for some "exciting news" following Saturday's draw.

Bosses from Camelot said the county winner was one of more than three million people who had registered to play interactively.

Julian Fisher, National Lottery spokesman, said: "Many congratulations to Mr H. He has become a winner by barely lifting a finger - in fact he need not have got out of bed in order to win."

Interactive players do not run the risk of losing their tickets and forgetting to check them as they are told when they win.
