A former Shropshire woman has beaten off 14,000 other hopefuls to be named in FHM's top 100 beauties.
Emma Davies, 24, who lived in north Shropshire until two years ago, says she entered the lads magazine's High Street Honeys competition as a bit of a joke after being persuaded by work colleagues. But she says she is delighted to have reached the finals of the competition and is now hoping people will vote for her.
Emma, who lived in Coton, near Wem, as a child, moved to Whitchurch. She now lives in Nantwich and works as a drugs counsellor.
She went to school at Tilstock and the Adams at Wem.
"My ex-boyfriend entered me for a beauty competition a couple of years ago and I reached the finals of that.
"But it was my colleagues at work who told me to go in for the High Street Honeys competition," she added.
"It was a bit of a joke really but I am really pleased that I have done so well. There were 14,000 people who entered so to get to the final 100 is great."
Emma added: "I was amazed because when I could not get down to London for the final interview I did not think that I stood a chance.
"So when I got the call saying I was in the final I couldn't believe it."
She said she had no problem about appearing in the FHM magazine and was featured this month.
"It's no different from being on the beach or even in a club, where I will often wear a bikini.
"Some people say that this sort of thing oppresses women. But I think the opposite, I think it can empower women."
Emma is number 88 in the High Street Honeys competition. The girl who gets the most votes will be crowned High Street Honey of 2008.
To vote people can get on to the website, www.fhm.com/honeys/emma-davies or can text vote FHM-8886145.
