Date set for opening of M&S store

Bridgnorth's new M&S Simply Food store will open at the beginning of December, bosses revealed today.

A spokesman for the store, which is located in the former Handyman House store in St John's Street, Low Town, said it would be opening early next month, but were unable to give an exact date.

The spokesman said: "The opening will be the beginning of December, in time for Christmas, but we have no exact date as yet.

"At this point we can only say the beginning of December, but we will have more set information in the next week."

Work has progressed rapidly over the past couple of weeks, and the site now has its trademark M&S signs in place.

About 45 jobs are expected to be created with the opening of the 6,300 sq feet shop - 18 full-time positions and 27 part-time.
