U-turn over windfarm
Controversial plans for a windfarm in north Shropshire took another twist today, after a neighbouring council made a U-turn and withdrew its objection to part of the scheme.

While Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council still "strongly objects" to plans to build a windfarm at Poplar Lane, Norton in Hales, it has withdrawn its reasons for refusing an application to build an access to the site.
The council had refused permission for Nuon Renewables to form an access onto land at Bearstone.
