A Shropshire woman has died after a two-car smash on a Lincolnshire road which claimed two lives.
Leah Ford, 22, was driving a blue Ford Mondeo through the village of Dalderby at about 2.20pm on Friday when she was involved in a crash with a Kia Sedona.
She was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
The driver of the Sedona, 56-year-old Julia Ann Cannon, was airlifted to hospital but later died.
Miss Ford lived in Seabury Close, Belle Vue, Shrewsbury, before moving to Tattershall in Lincolnshire in April to join her partner, Ron Kennedy, 39, who is in the RAF.
He today said: "My perfect friend and soul mate has been taken away too soon."
Born Leanne Thomas, Miss Ford changed her surname due to her love of Ford Mondeo cars. She leaves her parents, David and Alison Thomas, from Shrewsbury, and sister, Lucy Thomas.
Mr Kennedy added: "We met through www.mondeo-owners.co.uk and fast became friends due to our common bond and love for Mondeos. Leah called her car 'Mond'."
Police today said a male passenger in the Sedona was in a serious but stable condition in hospital.
Georgie Bates, Lincolnshire police spokeswoman, said an inves- tigation had begun.
Meanwhile, a 19-year-old man is still in hospital after a collision on the A488 in south Shropshire last Friday in which he suffered multiple injuries.
Police today described his condition as "comfortable".
He is believed to have been the driver of a car which careered off the road between Lydham and Bishop's Castle and smashed into a tree. Two other men who were in the car escaped with minor injuries.
Elsewhere, a woman was taken to hospital after a two-car crash on a Shropshire road. The incident happened on Castle Farm Way, Priorslee, in Telford, at about 11.05am yesterday.
And a motorcyclist has been treated in hospital for a leg injury after a crash in Telford. It happened on Halesfield Road, Halesfield, Telford at 9.50am on Saturday.
