"Shropshire is splendidly rich and diverse, with plenty of interest for everyone," she said.
"I hope people will have as much pleasure from the book as I had in making it and it tempts people to spend many happy days exploring Shropshire."
In the book, Judy, describes Shrewsbury as having "more than enough to offer all its visitors", but with more of interest in the surrounding countryside, such as Attingham Park, Wroxeter and Haughmond Abbey.
The author also describes the Shropshire hills as "a walker's paradise".
Lindsey Porter, managing director of publishers Landmark Publishing, said: "Judy has a wonderful writing style and a natural enthusiasm for Shropshire.
"This book covers the better-known towns and attractions, but Judy has spent a considerable amount of time exploring.
"Judy offers sound advice on what to see and why."
Each chapter includes a list of places to visit, and a factfile at the end offers tourist information such as places to eat and events. The book costs £7.99.
