A former Shropshire postman has appeared before Oswestry magistrates charged with stealing from the Royal Mail and failing to deliver hundreds of items.
James Edward Fisher, 27, of Windmill Meadow, Wem, is accused of stealing a quantity of packets, including 45 DVDs, six console games, a memory card and perfume from the Royal Mail between September 14, 2008 and April 22, 2009.
He was also charged with delaying a quantity of postal packets and stealing seven packages between various dates. The case was adjourned until October 20.
