Now council bosses are hoping to have a frame surrounding the sculpture dismantled by the end of Tuesday.
George Candler, assistant director culture and leisure at Shropshire Council, today said: "The scaffolding surrounding Quantum Leap has now been removed.
"The frame which is supporting the Quantum Leap is anticipated to come down by the end of Tuesday as the arch is now self supporting and the grout inside the structure has hardened to a sufficient strength."
