Fears were today growing for the safety of a missing teenager from Leintwardine who disappeared during a day trip following a row.

Sarah Dunn left her carer in Bridgnorth after an argument, stating she was going to visit an aunt in the area.

The 14-year-old has not been seen since Monday, police said today.

She has no mobile phone or cash on her and it is believed she may well have made her way to the West Midlands, where she had relatives and friends in the Dudley area.

West Mercia Police says it is liaising closely with colleagues in the West Midlands in an effort to locate the missing youngster.

Sarah is described as white, 5ft 2ins tall, of slim build with dyed black, medium-length hair.

She was last seen wearing white jeans, a white short-sleeved T-shirt with a thick black and white jacket with dice on and black ballet shoes.

Police want to hear from anyone who may know Sarah's current whereabouts.

They are also urging the teenager to contact the police as soon as possible to confirm that she is safe and well.

Anyone with information should contact West Mercia Police on 0300 333 3000, quoting reference 79-N-280909.
