Firefighters who tackled a blaze involving an estimated 2,000 tonnes of waste rubber on a Shropshire industrial estate have been thanked for protecting the nearby town.

The fire at Kingpin Tyres on Wem Industrial Estate broke out on September 8.
Today, the Mayor of Wem, Councillor Douglas Cooley, thanked the firefighters.
