Driver unhurt as BMW flips over
A driver and his two passengers escaped with minor injuries after his car left the road, ending up on its roof in the Black Country.
Kain Houghton's white BMW C-series overturned after colliding with a fence in Himley Road, Milking Bank, Dudley. Paramedics and fire crews were called to the crash scene while police closed the busy route off while they cleared debris.
The 20-year-old and two friends who had been travelling with him in the car were checked over but did not need hospital treatment. Firefighters left after making the vehicle safe.
The T-reg car's bumper was thrown off by the force of the crash and the roof of the car was crumpled by the impact with the ground.
Mr Houghton, of Merryfield Road, Russells Hall, Dudley said he had a "few aches and pains" but added he was relieved no-one had been badly injured.
"The main thing is no-one was seriously hurt," said Mr Houghton, who passed his driving test when he was 17.
"I have come around the corner, the back end has spun out and the car has turned 360 degrees then hit the kerb and rolled over."
The BMW is likely to be written off.
West Midlands Ambulance spokesman John Hawker confirmed crews had been called to the accident at 12.05pm yesterday.
He said the three people who had been in the car had managed to get out of the vehicle and no-one required hospital treatment.
