Thirty-three properties in Shrewsbury lost power yesterday while 420 properties in total were affected in High Ercall and Telford on 11.20pm on Friday.
Their supply was restored by 6am on Saturday but a second fault meant that 300 homes in the High Ercall area again lost power at around the same time.
Landlords at the Cleveland Arms in High Ercall had to cancel their fireworks and bonfire event on Saturday, which last year attracted about 1,000 visitors.
Julie Smith said: "It came on about again at about 12.30 on Saturday night for an hour, then went off for an hour and a half.
"We were extremely frustrated. We were among the last to be switched back on, along with the Ridgway properties. They should have been first, pensioners live there."
The bonfire and firework display has been re-scheduled for next Saturday, with the fires being lit at 6pm.
David Coop, who lives in Rowton, was also affected by the power cuts.
Mr Coop, who rents a static caravan on a farm, said he needs electricity to heat his home.
