Tilstock CofE Primary School, near Whitchurch, was closed this week as more than half of the teaching, support staff and pupils were absent or displaying flu-like symptoms.

The school will re-open tomorrow.

Tim Smith, of Shropshire Council, said: "The decision to close the school was taken to safeguard the health, welfare and safety of pupils and staff and to restrict the spread of further infection."
