Two people have been arrested over an attempted robbery of a security van outside a Shropshire supermarket in which a man was threatened with a hammer.
Detectives from Shropshire travelled to Liverpool on Thursday and arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of conspiring to commit robbery.
The arrests followed an incident at Morrisons in Whitchurch Road, Shrewsbury, at about 2.30pm on November 8 when a man threatened the driver of a security van with what police believe was a hammer. He fled empty-handed.
