Two police officers were injured when a marked car was involved in a collision at a roundabout near Shrewsbury.

Two police officers were injured when a marked car was involved in a collision at a roundabout near Shrewsbury.

Police today appealed for witnesses to the three-car smash which happened on the A5 at the Bayston Hill roundabout shortly before 7.30pm yesterday.

The officers, who were in a marked Volvo estate, suffered bruising and whiplash.

No-one else was injured.

The two other vehicles involved were a Suzuki Liana and Peugeot 206. Sergeant Nick Hall said today: "Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call police on 0300 333 3000."
