A route from Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton was affected after thieves took 220 metres of cable from tracks in Tipton at 6pm yesterday.
A total of 188 trains were delayed and four stopped short of their destination. Services were back to normal at 4.37am today. A £1,000 reward is on offer to catch the thieves.
