Residents flee gas leak flats

Eight people were evacuated from a Telford block of flats after a gas leak today.

Two men in their 30s were asleep in a ground-floor flat in Queens Court, Madeley, when gas began choking the property.

A couple living in the flat above smelled the fumes and raised the alarm shortly before 3.30am.
