Leisure bosses have said they will take over the running of a north Shropshire swimming pool, in principle.
Wem Swimming Pool may reopen as early as next month if councillors finalise details with preferred operator Teme Leisure when they meet today.
The pool has been shut since May 9 when Wem Swimming Centre Ltd, the company which used to run it, was declared insolvent.
Teme Leisure officials said they had agreed the operational budget but had a couple of issues to be resolved. Wem Town Council also confirmed that it hoped to strike a deal based on the budget proposals the firm had put forward.
