It means people in villages like Whixall, Fauls, Hodnet, Marchamley and Darliston can once again hop on a bus to Market Drayton for its Wednesday market after a two-year break in service.
The old service was axed by the former Shropshire County Council in 2008, sparking criticism from elderly bus users without other means of transport.
John Harrison, NSW co-ordinator, said he was happy to be able to offer the service and that the first run had been well subscribed.
He said he was due to pick up the first people for the new route today.
"Unfortunately due to a shortage of funding we're having to ask passengers to pay. It cost us £1,500 just to set the new route up," he said.
The 345, which was used by more than 20 people was scrapped in 2008 and replaced with a service which ran by appointment only. The news was met with criticism from local councillors and residents who said the service — used mainly by pensioners — was vital for people in north Shropshire.
All journeys on the new route need to be pre-booked, he added Mr Harrison.
