The garden trail will be held tomorrow in Clive, near Shawbury, from 11am until 5pm.

The event is being held to raise funds for the Severn Hospice.

Val Walters, chairman of the of Clive Hospice Support Group, said the garden trail was usually held every other year.

She said: "Ten gardens will be open around the centre of the village of Clive between 11am and 5pm, to raise funds for Severn Hospice.

"This will be a wonderful opportunity to visit this picturesque village and give plenty of time to amble round and enjoy the wide variety of gardens open on the day.

"Ploughman's lunches and other light refreshments will be available to order in the village hall," Mrs Walters said, said, adding: "Ample free parking will be available on the playing field adjacent to the village hall facilities, and plants will also be for sale on the day.

"Entry is just £3.50 for adults and accompanied children are free. A guide and map to the open gardens will be provided on the day."
