Woman falls to her death from Pontcysyllte Aqueduct

A young woman plunged hundreds of feet to her death from the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct near the Shropshire border.

The 19-year-old woman is believed to have lived in the nearby town of Rhos.

The tragedy happened on Friday afternoon.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
