A £300,000 scheme to breathe new life into a town centre and plans for 18 homes in a rural village were due to be discussed at two public meetings in north Shropshire today.
In Whitchurch, residents are being invited to have their say on how to spend £300,000 to regenerate the town centre under a scheme funded by Shropshire Council.
In Welshampton, near Ellesmere, the parish council has called a meeting for residents to consider a developer's plans for 18 homes in the village.
Applicant Richard Warner, of Nesscliffe, wants to build the homes and 36 car parking spaces behind Hazel Cottage.
Plans have already been greeted with some criticism from residents who have raised fears over drainage and increase in traffic.
The Whitchurch meeting is at 7pm in the civic centre.
The Welshampton meeting is at 7.30pm in the parish hall.
