Police have issued a fresh appeal for witnesses to a road collision in north Shropshire which claimed the lives of two young men.

Thomas Nixon, 19, and Adam Childs, 20, both from Prees, near Whitchurch, died when their car was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the A41 at Tern Hill on October 20.

Police are continuing to investigate and renewed their appeal for witnesses.

Investigating officer Constable Sian Price said several people had come forward with information.

She said: "We are grateful for their help but it's quite possible there are others who either saw the actual collision or the circumstances leading up to it. I would urge them to please call me at Shrewsbury police station on 0300 3333000 as it's important we speak to everyone who can assist."

The two men were in a blue Vauxhall Corsa travelling north on the A41 towards Whitchurch when it was involved in a collision with a silver Audi A5 being driven in the opposite direction towards Tern Hill.

The collision happened just before 11pm about 300 yards north of the A41 and A53 roundabout junction at Tern Hill, near Market Drayton.
