A woman was airlifted to hospital after a car crash on a Shropshire road.

The woman, thought to be in her 60s, suffered back pain and injuries to her face when the car she was in left the A49 between Bromfield and Ludlow yesterday.

The woman was airlifted to hospital after the crash, which happened just after 2pm.

Meanwhile, fire crews were called to a crash on the B4386 between Westbury and Aston Rogers yesterday just before 2pm. The crash involved a car and a lorry.

Emergency services were also called to a crash involving a car on the A4117 at Hopton Bank between Ludlow and Cleobury Mortimer at 11.30pm yesterday, which left one person with a head injury.
