The 25-year-old woman was pushed to the floor and suffered injuries to her fingers and the 16-year-old boy suffered bruising and a cut to the back of his head during the fracas at the Craven Arms Hotel in Shrewsbury Road, Craven Arms. Police today appealed for information following the incident which started inside the hotel just before midnight on New Year's Eve. Police said a disagreement occurred between a number of people which became physical and spilled out on to the car park. The incident continued for some time outside before police were called and they arrived at the scene at just after 12.30am.

West Mercia police spokesman Chris Ammonds said: "It seems that as many as 10 people - both male and female - may have been involved and we are extremely keen to speak to anyone who witnessed any of the disorder, or anyone who believes they know what caused it to take place.
"As well as receiving the initial report about the disorder and physical and verbal altercations, we have also received specific reports of two assaults in relation to this incident."
