A woman in her 40s was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a two-car crash on the south Shropshire border.

A woman in her 40s was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a two-car crash on the south Shropshire border.

The woman suffered serious leg and pelvic injuries and had to be cut free from her car following the crash near Mill Lane on the A443 at Eardiston, near Tenbury Wells, at 3.45pm yesterday.

She was flown to the major trauma unit at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. A four-year-old boy in the same car suffered a head injury and was taken to hospital.
