A historic Black Country tool firm has closed down - with four workers made redundant.

Lugg Tools Ltd has been based in Hill Top, West Bromwich for more than 120 years but it has now shut its doors for the last time.

Owner Tom Wright said he was in the process of talking to liquidators.

He said: "It is very sad that after more than 120 years it has come to this.

"There has been a general decline over many years. The closure of the Longbridge factory in Birmingham after the collapse of MG Rover was a big blow.

"Although we weren't a direct supplier to them, many of the companies we supplied to were, and a lot went out of business."
