A raid on the home of the billionaire founder of Phones 4U near Market Drayton will be reconstructed on television tonight.

The aggravated burglary which happened at the home of John Caudwell at Broughton Hall in Eccleshall, on November 1 last year will be featured on BBC1's Crimewatch show.

Mr Caudwell and his partner Claire were in the kitchen when masked raiders burst in.

It was there that Mr Caudwell was struck over his head and across his arms with a metal bar which gave him a one-inch gash to his forehead and bruising.

A 47-year-old Liverpool man arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary at Broughton Hall remains on police bail pending further enquiries.

The reconstruction will show the burglars going through the house taking jewellery and cash before making off across fields.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 4455 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
