The post office was being run from a house in the village but had to close after the premises owners decided to sell. But now Stans Superstore, in Overton Road, has revealed it will be hosting the post office in its store from April 18 and it hopes to re-employ some of the original staff. Andrew Faulks, from Stans, said: "It is nice to keep the post office within the village. "Everybody needs a post office."

But now Stans Superstore, in Overton Road, has revealed it will be hosting the post office in its store from April 18 and it hopes to re-employ some of the original staff.
Andrew Faulks, from Stans, said: "It is nice to keep the post office within the village.
"Everybody needs a post office."
Mr Faulks said they were interviewing those who had previously run the post office for more than 20 years.
The post office will be open every hour the supermarket is which is Monday to Saturday 8am until 8pm and Sunday from 10am until 4pm.
Miss Alison Baseley, chairman of St Martins Parish Council, said: "It is brilliant news.
"We were devastated to lose the post office in the village just before Christmas. It came as a shock.
"Now everybody in the village is pleased we have been able to get another one."
A spokesman for Post Office Limited said: "We are delighted that we have been able to restore Post Office services to St Martins and are certain customers will enjoy the new environment and extended opening hours."
