An investigation into the incident has been launched by the Health and Safety Executive with help from Shropshire Council.
Bosses at Grocontinental, an international storage and distribution company which employs about 300 people, offered their condolences to the man's family following the incident.
Inspector Gurjit Singh, from West Mercia Police, said police were not intending to launch a full investigation into the accident because it was a work-related incident.
John Hawker, spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service, said crews found a man with multiple serious injuries but could do nothing to save him.
