Protesters fighting plans to mine 900,000 tonnes of coal in Shropshire will appear in court tomorrow in a bid to fight a planned eviction.

The campaigners, who set up camp at the site in Huntington Lane, near The Wrekin, in January last year, have been told they must appear at Telford County Court to hear their fate.

UK Coal, which owns the land, is seeking an eviction order from the court.

The protesters were served on Tuesday with a notice of their hearing.
