Councillor Paul Watling, Telford & Wrekin Council's cabinet member for Children and Young People, said it was still too early to say whether Thursday's collapse would affect the opening of the academy in January.
Leader of Telford & Wrekin Council, Councillor Kuldip Sahota said: "I was at the school tightening the last bolt during a topping out ceremony and I was under the canopy with some children burying time capsules.
"I'm glad there are no serious injuries."
