More than 1,000 people turned out for the annual Ironbridge Coracle Regatta.
The event took place yesterday and saw dozens of people take to their coracles on the River Severn, including CBBC children's television presenters Andy Akinwolere and Ed Petrie.
John Marsh, president of the Ironbridge and Severn Gorge Lions Club, which organised the event, said this year saw a record number of visitors.
He said: "Crowds packed the riverbank. The event has grown over the years and is now well established in the Ironbridge events calendar.
"This year saw record numbers of coraclers taking part travelling from all over the country and beyond to entertain the crowds. Various races, skill events and even a game of coracle water polo were put on in these traditional craft to entertain the crowd. The most unusual craft was a coracle from Vietnam."
He added a BBC TV crew were on hand to catch some of the antics after the corporation asked for permission to turn up with their cameras.
"They came and filmed coracles and the presenters also took part," he added. "For those not on the water, there were over 50 traders and charities represented."
The Lions club organised the event in conjunction with The Greenwood Centre in aid of local Lions charities.
