Public meetings will be held in Whitchurch for people to have their say on reinstating the town's carnival after an eight-year absence.
Councillors want to celebrate next year's Queen's Diamond Jubilee with a carnival in Jubilee Park and are inviting residents to have their say on the proposal.
More than 150 people have joined the Facebook group Bring Back Whitchurch Carnival and say the event would breathe new life into the town and boost business in the high street.
The meetings will be held in Whitchurch Civic Centre on Saturday and October 29 at 10am. The carnival's axe was blamed on spiralling co- sts and a lack of volunteers.
