The leader of Shropshire Council has vowed to meet with civic leaders and residents in Bishop's Castle over the proposed sale of land for a £5 million biomass plant.

Councillor Keith Barrow said his authority had met the prospective purchasers of the 2.5 acre site at Bishop's Castle Business Park a number of times.

He said discussions were 'ongoing' but said the council wanted to conclude the matter 'one way or another' by the end of the year.
